Art Gallery "The Palace of Arts" Address: Kozlova str. 3 Vast halls located on two levels present the works of famous national painters and youngs masters. Thematic exhibitions and international artistic projects take place in the commodious premises of the palace.
The Victory Monument Address: Victory Square A monument in the center of Victory Square is an obelisk mounted on a high pedestal. The obelisk is covered with grey granite, decorated with strips in the form of the Belarusian ornament and crowned with a 3 metres high Order of the Victory made of bronze and smalt of different colors. Four bronze high reliefs are placed at the obelisk foundation, dedicated to the history of Belarus liberation. The total height of the monument is 38 metres. By four sides around the obelisk bronze wreaths are placed on pedestals in honour of soldiers of four Soviet fronts, which participated in liberation of the Belarusian land. The Eternal Fire is set near the monument pedestal.
The Central Children's Park Named after Maxim Gorky This is the oldest park of Minsk city. One of the biggest and the most picturesque parks in Belarus, central Gorky's park boasts with decorative groups of centenary lindens and maples, weeping willows, birch alleys, exotic kinds of trees. Entertainment and different leisure activities such as tennis court, stadium, skating-rink, fitness centre, children's attractions, Ferris wheel, planetarium (see below), cafes are located in the park.
Kupalovsky Park
This romantic park for walks is one of the most picturesque places in Minsk. Beautiful Belarussian nature, memory of the great poet of the country Yanka Kupala, legends and traditions of the summer folklore feast "Kupalye" found harmonic correlation in the park's appearance. Kupalovsky park is situated on the bank of the river Svisloch.
The Belarusian State Circus Address: Nezavisimosti ave. 32 All genres of the circus art are demonstrated in Minsk circus, including water plays, performances of air gymnasts and tamed animals. The diameter of the circus arena is equal to 13 metres, the hall amphitheatre is intended for 1600 spectators. This is the only circus in the world situated in the center of the capital of the state on the main street. The bill of the current circus program.
The Palace of the Republic Address: Octyabrskaya Square 1 The Palace of the Republic is the biggest concert and entertaining construction in Minsk. Congresses, ceremonial meetings, receptions, concerts take place here, the main Christmas tree of the country is placed in the palace. Concert halls, cafes, bars, restaurants, an art gallery (see below) are situated in the Palace's premises. Visit website.
Art Gallery "The University of Culture" Address: Octyabrskaya Square 1 (The Palace of the Republic) One of the most popular Minsk galleries demonstrates contemporary artistic works of young authors, students and graduates from Minsk artistic educational institutions. Thematic exhibitions, exhibitions with participation of famous masters and their students, projects of young specialists are conducted in the gallery.
The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War Address: Nezavisimosti ave. 25a
The museum exhibits the biggest world's collection of historical monuments of 1941 - 1945: photos and documents, specimens of firearms and cold steel (including the self-made ones), combat flags, uniforms of servicemen, personal goods, awards of hero patriots, anti-fascist newspapers and leaflets issued in the occupied Belarus, a collection of paintings and works of decorative and applied art. The Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Address: Krasnoarmeyskaya str. 3
Tour concerts are performed on the stage of the House of Officers, the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Armed Forces is also performing here. Swimming pool and the biggest in the city Internet cafe (see no. 19) operate in the building.
