The Palace of the Republic Address: Octyabrskaya Square 1
The Palace of the Republic is the biggest concert and entertaining construction in Minsk. Congresses, ceremonial meetings, receptions, concerts take place here. Concert halls, cafes, bars, restaurants, an art gallery (see below) are situated in the Palace's premises. The biggest city fountain, being the decorative trim of the Palace, is located near the building. Visit website.
Art Gallery "The University of Culture" Address: Octyabrskaya Square 1 (The Palace of the Republic) One of the most popular Minsk galleries demonstrates contemporary artistic works of young authors, students and graduates from Minsk artistic educational institutions. Thematic exhibitions, exhibitions with participation of famous masters and their students, projects of young specialists are conducted in the gallery. The exposition presents various types of arts, including paintings, sculptures, graphics, decorative and applied art, folk handicrafts.
The Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War Address: Nezavisimosti ave. 25a
The museum of the Great Patriotic War is situated between the Palace of the Republic and the Palace of the Culture of the Trade Unions. There is an inscription over the facade of the museum's building saying, "The Feat of the people will live for ages". The museum materials narrate the German policy of genocide. Documents and photos narrate the tragic fate of hundreds of thousands residents who died in death camps, in ghettos during punitive operations of fascists. Specimens of the Soviet military equipment of the period of World War II are demonstrated in the internal yard of the museum on the open site. Visit website.

The Palace of Culture of Trade Unions Address: Nezavisimosti ave. 25
The building constructed in 1954 has abundant decor components and sculptures. Columns and semi-columns are locates by the perimeter. A sculptural composition glorifying the theme of labour is placed onto the pediment of the main facade. Concert, dance, lecture halls, rooms for studies of hobby groups are situated in the internal premises of the building.
The Central House of Officers of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Belarus Address: Krasnoarmeyskaya str. 3
Tour concerts are performed on the stage of the House of Officers, the Academic Ensemble of Songs and Dances of the Armed Forces is also performing here. Swimming pool and the biggest in the city Internet cafe (see no. 24) operate in the building. In front of the building of the House of Officers there is a monument tank. The famous Soviet tank "T-34" is mounted on a pedestal in honour of Minsk liberation from fascist occupants.
The Residence of the President of the Republic of Belarus Address: K. Marxa str. 38 The structure of enormous proportions occupies the whole quarter and has 6 floors. National Art Museum of the Republic of Belarus Address: Lenina str. 20 The Art Museum is the biggest treasury of the artistic values of the country. It possesses unique collections of Belarusian, Russian, Western European paintings of the 12th-21st centuries, presents works of masters of India, China and Japan, introduces the modern works of Belarusian and foreign painters.
The halls of the top floor present the Russian paintings of the 18th-20th centuries. Works of Aivazovsky, Shishkin, Bryullov, Vrubel, Levitan and other famious painters are kept there. Exposition halls of the ground floor are occupied by changeable thematic exhibitions presenting works of contemporary Belarusian and foreign artists. A collection of the national art is widely presented in the new building exposition. Here you can see the masterpieces of the Belarusian icon painting, altar sculptures, portraits of the representatives of famous magnate families as well as landscapes of well-know Belarusian painters of the 19th - beginning of the 20th centuries. National Museum of History and Culture of Belarus Address: K. Marxa str. 12 The museum demonstrates the biggest Belarussian collection of the history of the spiritual and material culture. Along with the monuments of the local origin the items made in the neighbouring Slavonic and Western European countries but well-spread in Belarus are demonstrated in the museum.

The museum exposition occupies six halls having different topics and types of execution. The museum collection numbers tens of thousands of exhibits dedicated to the nature of Belarus, the vegetable and animal world, rare protected species as well as the most ancient inhabitants of Belarusian land - mammoths, aurochs and other relict animals.
The "Conception" Gallery Address: Karla Marxa street 20
A small private gallery founded by two art critics. The exposition contains paintings of the eminent masters of the domestic art and works of young, but rather well-know painters. Paintings, graphics, sculptures, specimens of the decorative and applied art are demonstrated in the gallery.

The contemporary art of Belarus - paintings, graphics, sculptures, specimens of the decorative and applied art - is presented at the exhibition and sale in this gallery. One of the gallery halls demonstrates the changeable exhibitions of the best painters of Belarus.
The Catholic Church of Saint Symon and Helene Address: Nezavisimosti ave. 15
The church is a prominent monument of architecture wherein components of the Roman style and Gothic are presented in the interpretation of architects of the beginning of the 20th century. It is made of red bricks crowned with three towers with gilded crosses on their tops.

Town Hall Address: Ploschad Svobody 2a
The building of the town hall features classic style, its edges are decorated with porticoes and columns. A tower rises above the Town Hall, and a clock with the music chime is installed on the tower. The city's coat of arms is located under the clock. The coat of arms bears an image of the Ascension of Virgin Mary surrounded by angels. Walls in the hall and corridors are decorated with pictures, gravures and tapestries illustrating views of the old Minsk.
Holy Virgin Mary Roman Catholic Archicathedral Address: Svobody Square 9
The Catholic Church of the Blessed Virgin Mary occupies its honorable place among major catholic sacred places of Belarus. It has a title of the Archicathedral and is the main church of the Roman Catholic confession of the country. The church is a monument of baroque style architecture from the beginning of the 18th century. A sculpture of the Blessed Virgin Mary is placed over the central facade part in the figured fronton niche.
The Holy Spirit Cathedral Address: Cyril and Mefodiy str. 3
The Holy Spirit Cathedral is the main church of the orthodox Belarus, the place of residence of the pulpit of the Patriarch Exarch of the whole Belarus the Metropolitan of Minsk and Slutsk Filaret, the biggest church of the city.
A vast sightseeing platform is located in front of the entrance to the church, and the city panorama of Pobediteley avenue and historical sites of Nemiga street and Troitskoe Suburb are open from here.
Saint Peter and Paul Cathedral Address: Rakovskaya str. 4
The cathedral is one of the sacred places of the Belarusian orthodoxy. It was built in 1611-1612 and is the oldest of the existing Minsk churches. Externally the church resembles a castle. Components of the defensive style are retained in its look: strongs walls, high narrow window loopholes, corner towers. For many centuries the church was really a spirutal fortress, it served as stronghold and protection of the orthodox fath.

Painting and graphic works of Minsk artists are presented at the exhibition and sale gallery. The gallery exhibits the works of various styles and trends of the contemporary art.
The Belarusian State Circus Address: Nezavisimosti ave. 32 All genres of the circus art are demonstrated in Minsk circus, including water plays, performances of air gymnasts and tamed animals. The diameter of the circus arena is equal to 13 metres, the hall amphitheatre is intended for 1600 spectators. Kupalovsky Park
This romantic park for walks is one of the most picturesque places in Minsk. Beautiful Belarussian nature, memory of the great poet of the country Yanka Kupala, legends and traditions of the summer folklore feast "Kupalye" found harmonic correlation in the park's appearance. Kupalovsky park is situated on the bank of the river Svisloch.
Central Children's Gorky Park Gorky's park is the oldest park of Minsk city. One of the biggest and the most picturesque parks in Belarus, central Gorky's park boasts with decorative groups of centenary lindens and maples, weeping willows, birch alleys, exotic kinds of trees. The park can be easily recognized by a silhouette of the Ferris wheel rising over the trees. The attraction can reach the height of 54 metres, from where you can enjoy the panorama of the Belarusian capital. Different leisure activities, sports and entertainment such as tennis court, stadium, skating-rink, fitness centre, children's attractions, planetarium, cafes are located in the park.
